Club WideWorld: PO Box 6978, Buena Park, CA 90622-5366; info@ClubWideWorld.com; CLOSED
Est. 1969 by Bob & Geri, Club WideWorld was a trendsetter for several decades, especially in promoting swinging as a couples social recreation. CWW offered swing parties with a buffet Friday and Saturday nights for member couples and for 12 years the Wednesday Night Discussions. The latter featured a published subject and a speaker and was open to all adults. From the Discussion grew the SSAL (Society for the Study of Alternative Lifestyles), NASCA International, The Friday Socials, The Lifestyles Organization, Lifestyles Convention, and the development of a wholly new aspect of tours for couples through Lifestyles Tours & Travel. The club closed in 2006 and at this time does not offer parties or other events.  Former members are always invited to send a message to say "hello."  NASCA EOLO [1555]

The Friday Socials: (Southern CA.) By The Lifestyles Organization (LSO Ltd) & Club WideWorld, PO Box 6978, Buena Park, CA 90622-6978; CLOSED; E-mail: rm@lifestyles.org; Web: www.Playcouples.com. These were Dinner/Dance Parties for couples held over 12 years on the third Friday of most months & special events such as Valentine's Day, New Years Eve & Halloween. A night out for adult couples to dine, dance and socialize in a sensual, friendly and safe environment. TFS closed a few years ago. The Friday Socials and the 1996 Lifestyles Convention were subjected to unlawful scrutiny and harrassment by the California ABC (Alcohol & Beverage Control Board) resulting in legal challenge by Lifestyles and the ACLU which resulted in a major portion of the ABC's regulations being declared unconstitutional by the 9th Circuit. A number of ABC employees subsequently resigned, retired or were reduced in status, and the City of Long Beach was fined for the actions of the city's Police Dept. EOLO NASCA [1026]
